Rules for completing the course in Physical Education – winter semester 2021/2022


  1. In connection with the Rector’s Regulation of September 17, 2021 the implementation of Physical Education (PE) classes in the winter semester 2021/22 in the amount of 30 hours of instruction will be conducted in a hybrid system, and has been divided into two parts:
    • Part one: live (face-to-face) activities in the form of three walking tours with a total of 18 hours of instruction, equal to 18 points for this part. In order to pass this part of the course, you must complete a minimum of two trips – i.e. 12 points.
    • Part two: in a remote (online) form, using the WF Online courses on the CUE’s Moodle Platform, with a total number of 12 hours of instruction. In order to pass this part of the course, a minimum of 4 points must be obtained.
  2. Participation in part one and part two of PE course is obligatory for all students who have PE classes assigned in the winter semester 2021/22.
  3. Remote classes are held on the University’s e-Platform at: e-uczelnia.uek.krakow.pl in the Studium Wychowania Fizycznego i Sportu (Department of Physical Education and Sports) category. You should choose one course, and only for this particular course it is necessary to register (online) for selected classes by November 28 – in order to participate, based on the proposed materials and workout exercises. Remote (online) classes begin on November 29, 2021 and they finish on January 30, 2022.
  4. The period of the availability of registration for the online classes starts on November 22, and ends on November 28 (deadline).
  5. In order to pass the Physical Education course with a grade of 3.0 in the winter semester of 2021/22, you must obtain a total of 16 points.
  6. Your final grade in Physical Education will depend on the number of completed hours of instruction that will be converted into points according to the following conversion rates:
    • each hour of instruction is worth 1 point (30 teaching hours = 30 points)
    • participation in a walking tour equals 6 points.
    • performance of an activity in the PE Online course is worth between 0 and 2 points. There are 12 points on the scale for resolving the weekly courses: no diary sent = 0 points; partially correct diary = 1 point; correct diary = 2 points; whereas the (minimum) pass mark = 1 point.
    • Grade 2.0: you have not obtained enough points to pass. The pass mark is 16 points.
    • Grade 3.0: you have obtained 16 points
    • Grade 3.5: you have obtained between 17 and 20 points
    • Grade 4.0: you have obtained between 21 and 24 points
    • Grade 4.5: you have obtained between 25 and 27 points
    • Grade 5.0: you have obtained between 28 and 30 points
    • Grade 5.5 may be awarded to a student pursuing classes on a live (face-to-face) basis as part of the KU AZS UEK section trainings. This requires representing the University in the AMM and AMP play-offs and demonstrating a high form of training during classes at the University Sports Facilities of the CUE.
